About Map to Happiness
Our Vision
The creation of **Map to Happiness** was inspired by countless sad stories shared on social media, stirring a desire in me—Michael B. Nhem, a Polysomnographic Technologist and father of four—to transform lives through faith. Together, we can turn those narratives into stories of joy by embracing God’s love. As 1 Corinthians 13:8 declares, “Love never faileth.” Moroni 7:46 echoes, “Wherefore, my beloved brethren, if ye have not charity, ye are nothing, for charity never faileth.”
Our Five Goals
- Enhance the spiritual and emotional well-being of people.
- Empower individuals to reach their God-given potential.
- Uplift lives through faith-based guidance.
- Encourage the use of talents to serve others.
- Give all glory to God, as Psalm 115:1 (Bible) teaches, “Not unto us, O Lord, not unto us, but unto thy name give glory.”
Our vision draws from three inspired models: 1 – “Love never faileth” (1 Corinthians 13:8), 2 – “We do what we believe and become what we teach” (aligned with Doctrine and Covenants 11:21, “Seek not to declare my word, but first seek to obtain my word”), 3 – and the proverb “Teach a man to fish, and you feed him for a lifetime.”
We invite you to share inspiring stories, tips, and quotes. Pray for guidance as you contribute—your words can uplift others. Visit our Contact page to get started!
Above all, our deepest desire is to see families thrive in happiness, reflecting the eternal promise of Doctrine and Covenants 130:2, “And that same sociality which exists among us here will exist among us there, only it will be coupled with eternal glory.”
Our Mission
Our mission at **Map to Happiness** is to lift and inspire people to reach their full potential in life through faith in God. As Mosiah 2:41 states, “And moreover, I would desire that ye should consider on the blessed and happy state of those that keep the commandments of God.” By following this divine path, we aim to bring true happiness through God’s love and grace.
Our Values
The “Life’s BIG PICTURE” 7 Core Principles, shaped by my family’s journey, have brought us lasting happiness and joy. These values, rooted in faith, guide our mission:
- Believe in God as the Highest Priority in Life– Centering our lives on God brings purpose. Matthew 6:33 says, “But seek first the kingdom of God and his righteousness, and all these things will be added to you.” 3 Nephi 13:33 reinforces, “Seek ye the kingdom of God; and all these things shall be added unto you.”
- Families Can Be Together Forever– Faith in eternal families fosters love and forgiveness. Ephesians 4:32 urges, “Be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, as God in Christ forgave you.” Doctrine and Covenants 132:19 promises, “If a man marry a wife by my word… it shall be done unto them in all things whatsoever my servant hath put upon them.”
- Generosity– Giving reflects God’s love. John 3:16 declares, “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son.” Malachi 3:10 adds, “Bring ye all the tithes into the storehouse… and prove me now herewith, saith the Lord of hosts, if I will not open you the windows of heaven.”
- Importance of Education– Wisdom through faith lifts us. Proverbs 4:7 states, “The beginning of wisdom is this: Get wisdom, and whatever you get, get insight.” Doctrine and Covenants 88:118 advises, “Seek ye diligently and teach one another words of wisdom; seek learning, even by study and also by faith.”
- Strong Work Ethics– Work honors God. Colossians 3:23 instructs, “Whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord and not for men.” Doctrine and Covenants 42:42 “Thou shalt not be idle; for he that is idle shall not eat the bread nor wear the garment of the laborer.”
- Serving Others– Service brings joy. John 13:14-15 shows Jesus’ example, “If I then, your Lord and Master, have washed your feet… ye also ought to wash one another’s feet.” Mosiah 2:17 teaches, “When ye are in the service of your fellow beings ye are only in the service of your God.”
- Gratitude for God’s Blessings– Thankfulness deepens joy. 1 Thessalonians 5:18 says, “Give thanks in all circumstances; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you.” Doctrine and Covenants 78:19 adds, “He who receiveth all things with thankfulness shall be made glorious.”
These principles, lived through my family’s trials and triumphs, reflect our belief in “anything of good report and wholesomeness” (Articles of Faith 1:13, LDS Quad). Join us in this journey—share your story on our [Feature Articles] page or ask a question in our [Q/A] page.
