This article shares how Starlink brought my online-working family together for a camping trip, reflecting my journey from Cambodia to American liberty and God’s gift of agency.

Starlink Unites Our Family Adventures

Freedom and family go hand in hand, a truth I’ve lived since escaping Cambodia’s darkness in 1975. After finding liberty in America in 1979, I’ve chased happiness with my loved ones. This week at Jordanelle State Park, Utah, our new Mini Starlink—purchased last Wednesday—turned our camping trip into a reunion, connecting hearts across busy lives.

A Family Divided by Work, United by Technology

Camping together was a dream deferred. Most of my children and their spouses are working online, making coordination tough without internet in the mountains. But Starlink changed that. With over 100 Mbps under clear skies, we’re thriving—posting updates, studying by the campfire, filming videos, and trading stocks. I captured a moment of joy: one couple working on a laptop under a lamp, the beach and moonlit mountains behind them, a campfire glowing with my other children gathered around, all made possible by Starlink’s magic.

Freedom in Every Connection

This land’s liberty echoes God’s gift of agency, letting us choose joy (2 Nephi 2:27). Starlink amplifies that, bridging us while we kayak, bike, or roast s’mores. From my father’s jungle escape to this Utah night, freedom binds us. Starlink’s promise—uniting us despite distance—mirrors the hope I found in America.

A New Tradition

As we plan more trips, Starlink ensures no one’s left behind. Watch for our story and pics on MapToHappiness.Com, where faith and family shine.
